• About Galaxy

        • Galaxy International School (Galaxy) is a non-profit and co-educational private day school executing under the umbrella of BILIM ORDA International Social Foundation that runs a network of private schools and a university all over Kazakhstan. The School caters for a range of local and international students residing in Almaty, one of the most beautiful cities in Central Asia. The School was established in 2014 as the initiative of BILIM ORDA to contribute to the dynamically growing market of international education in Kazakhstan.

           

          Galaxy IS a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). Representing over 500 member organisations, COBIS is a responsive organisation, open to current and future opportunities. It exists to serve, support and represent its member schools - their leaders, governors, staff and students by a number of different services.

           

          Galaxy became a Cambridge Assessment International Education Centre on 27 October 2015. This opportunity enables the school to offer internationally renowned Cambridge programmes and qualifications such as Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and Cambridge International Advanced and Advanced Subsidiary Levels (A and AS Levels) to its students.

           

          Moreover, the School became an Authorised Centre for Cambridge Assessment English which means the School can offer internationally renowned Cambridge English Qualifications such as Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers, A2 Key, B1 Preliminary, B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency and Teaching Knowledge Tests.

           

          Galaxy International School carries out its activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Regulation on the Affiliate of BILIM ORDA and Charter of the School. In its activities, Galaxy is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Education as well as by International and National Standards and legislative documents regulating the activity of educational institutions.
